Meet Dr. Melissa Farrow

Dr. Melissa Farrow has a great passion for creating beautiful smiles that last a lifetime. She works hard to build relationships with her patients and their families, and make each visit to our office relaxed and enjoyable. Our patients find her to be fun, energetic, caring, and gentle, and they thoroughly enjoy their time spent with her while in our office.

Dr. Farrow graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in nutritional sciences. She practiced as a registered dietitian for a few years, then decided to begin a career in the dental field. She entered dental school at the University of Oklahoma, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Science in 2003. Upon graduation, she knew her true passion was orthodontics. Dr. Farrow continued her training at the University of Colorado, where she completed an orthodontic residency in 2006, and earned her Master of Science in orthodontics.

While in training, Dr. Farrow received a number of awards, including Outstanding Orthodontic Student, the Pediatric Honors Program, and Esthetic Dentistry Awards. Also, her residency research was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics.

In 2007, following her orthodontic residency, Dr. Farrow began private practice in Edmond and Clinton with Dr. Mike Steffen. Later in 2008, she joined the late Dr. Raymond Krob in his South Oklahoma City practice. Dr. Farrow currently practices at all three of these locations.

Dr. Farrow keeps up with and provides her patients with the most current technology in the orthodontic field. One way she does this is by being an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Oklahoma Orthodontic Society, the American Dental Association, and the Oklahoma Dental Association. She is an active member of local study clubs, the Seattle Study club, the Metro Study Club, and the International Progressive Study Group. These organizations are composed of an elite group of doctors who share a common interest in dental excellence.

Due to Dr. Farrow’s commitment to excellence she was chosen by Invisalign to participate in their intensive Invisalign Teen program called Teen Edge.  As a member of the Teen Edge Program Dr. Farrow is among a small group of 100 doctors nationwide that were chosen to participate, she is the only doctor in Oklahoma that is a member of this elite group. This program gives teens a clear option to wearing braces, while still obtaining the same results that traditional metal braces provide.

Dr. Farrow views her practice as an extension of her family and focuses on providing personable, quality care. Dr. Farrow’s treatment philosophy integrates state-of-the-art technology with evidence-based scientific knowledge. She diligently serves her patients with a strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and dedication to lifelong continuing education and learning.

Dr. Farrow grew up in South Oklahoma City, where her family still resides. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. In her time away from the office, she enjoys hiking, jogging, Pilates, gardening, and traveling.
